Learn from someone who does the work
Tameka Spears teaches the classes herself. She has run a licensed adult family home in Milwaukee since 2014.
She teaches what she uses every day, and she knows what homes look for when they hire.
How it works
Five steps
- Call us. We'll tell you when the next class starts.
- Talk to your caseworker. If you work with a Job Center or Employ Milwaukee, ask about workforce funding for “All For You CBRF Training.” We can help with the paperwork.
- Come to class. About 20 hours over one week, in person, during the day.
- Practice in a home. Hands-on time in a real care setting.
- Get on the registry and get to work. When you pass, you're added to the Wisconsin registry, and we help you connect with homes that are hiring.
Next class: Call (414) 627-9049 for the next class date.
